I’m not one to drop Hindi on the regular, but when I think of Shahada, I think of the word, shraddha. A friend explained shraddha to me a while back (I assume correctly) as the application of spiritual attention to detail in whatever action we’re engaged. It’s that conscious concentration on each moment of teaching that I experience every time I take a class with Shahada at Core Power. It begins with her framing remarks, then builds as she instructs through postures and constructs asana sequences, all in one very specific, intentional flow. And, oh yeah, along the way she kicks your damn ass.
