HABIBI BODY TECHNIQUE ™ was created, cultivated and executed by Shahada Karim. Her goal is to optimize the entire body: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Through anatomically sound but highly challenging movement, Shahada seeks to unlock the potential of every practitioner, and help them realize their highest and healthiest potential.
THE PHYSICAL: HABIBI BODY TECHNIQUE ™ combines yoga, Pilates, ballet and calisthenics in a series of choreographed sequences to create a continuous flow of movement. We follow strict form and fundamentals most commonly associated with ballet and Pilates. We work from the core to the extremities, with special attention to spinal alignment and health for maximum results with minimal risk for injury. Instead of timing each rep with numbers, movement is timed according to composition and duration of sound. This way, we encourage each practitioner to complete each sequence with proper form instead of forcing reps and potentially creating a space for injury.
THE ESOTERIC: HABIBI BODY TECHNIQUE ™ cultivates energy typically stored in the Muladhara (glutes), Svadisthana (hips) and Manipura (core) regions of the body, according to the chakra map. These areas store and display past experiences and resulting patterns, non-verbal communication (body language), sensuality, confidence, and sense of identity. These expressions may often be hindered or suppressed due to environmental stressors and expectations. We seek to unlock this energy to uplift and encourage each practitioner to truly aspire to their best selves.
THE RESULT: HABIBI BODY TECHNIQUE ™ encourages a strong, lean, balanced and flexible physique. Practitioners typically feel results within 3-5 sessions, and see lasting results within 6-12 sessions. Those who incorporate intuitive and seasonal eating habits tend to see results even faster. The goal is to make movement (powered by nutrition) a non-negotiable part of each practitioner’s life. HABIBI BODY TECHNIQUE ™ can be upgraded or modified to suit a wide range of ages, body types and individual abilities.
